The AST Culture
The AST Culture
Culture is the lifeblood of any organisation, and AST takes great pride in the culture we have developed here. Stemming from the unwavering values of our Managing Director Heather Harrison, AST is a supportive, hardworking, ethical and passionate organisation where we work with each other and for each other, as well as our suppliers and clinic partners.
From monthly birthday morning teas to our famous Christmas BBQ’s. From our amazing annual team conference (last year held in the Yarra Valley) to a thousand other small events, AST is a great place to work if you like being part of a team.
The AST People
The AST People
AST puts great emphasis on employing people with the right character and values. As a team of over 70 employees, we have fun but also know how to get down to business! No matter which department you look at, our people come from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences. This brings AST strength, creativity and an ability to solve our customer requirements with dedication and flair.

AST in the Community
AST in the Community
As a company, we understand that we are dependent upon the community for our success. At the same time, we recognise the need for organisations like ours to contribute to the development of strong, healthy communities. As such, AST and our people contribute to dozens of community and charity based initiatives all over Australia. We are ongoing sponsors of the Les Twentyman Foundation as well as recent multiyear sponsors of the East Timor Hearts Fund.
Training and Development
Training and Development
AST, through its parent company Device Technologies, offers its team members frequent professional training and development opportunities. Themes for these multiday sessions include leadership, presentation skills, people management, team work and many more department-specific topics. All people leaders undertake quarterly reviews with their teams to focus on their achievements and opportunities for development, leading to an organisation that is always growing and improving.
